Add Lumens

From a single sentence, cinema.

No need to direct, storyboard or shoot, just describe it in a sentence and Luxim works the magic.

The sentence

“She walks onto a rooftop at night and the city goes quiet.”

That is the whole input. No cast list, no shot list, no camera notes, no settings. The absence is the product.

Write your sentence, or just say it out loud. Luxim takes it either way.

Your cast

One selfie is all you need.

A photograph becomes a character who can star in everything you make. Luxim draws them once and keeps them: the same face, the same build, every film.

Pick a look and they are redrawn in it. Photoreal, anime, 3D. Still recognisably them.

The look

Pick the look.

Cinematic film still, painted anime, studio 3D, VHS found footage, watercolour, and a good many more. Choose one and the whole film is re-rendered in it. Same scene, same cast, re-rendered rather than re-described.

Ideas

Out of ideas? Take one of ours.

A shelf of sentences you can borrow, then bend into your own. Each one is written as an action rather than a genre, because a camera can film someone vaulting a rooftop and cannot film “thriller”.

Tap one, change a word, make it yours.

Start from anything

A selfie. A photo. A video. A place. A person.

Luxim opens from any of them, and they combine. Put a character you have already made into a place you have already saved, and film it.

All of it

Say it. See it. Send it.

Describe what happens. Luxim casts it, writes the shots, picks the lenses, renders it and cuts it together. Every technical decision a film needs, it makes for you. Every one of them is yours to change if you want it.

You get to do the enjoyable part: making things with yourself, your friends, and whatever you thought of on the way home.

Every paid run is quoted before it starts. Nothing is generated and nothing is charged until you say go.

Questions?

What does it cost?

Making things costs Lumens: rendering a film, and drawing a character from a selfie. The price covers the whole job, the generation and the work Luxim does around it. Writing, editing, browsing your shelf and changing your mind are all free.

Is my footage private?

Your films, characters and places are isolated to your account, and Luxim never uses them to train anything. Generating a shot means sending it to a generation provider, and the privacy policy names every one of them and what each may retain under its own terms.

How long does a film take?

Each shot generates independently and the film assembles as they land. Times vary with how busy the service is, so a film at a quiet hour finishes sooner than the same film at a peak one.

What happens to what I upload?

Intermediate frames and clips are deleted 30 days after they are written. Your uploads and finished films are kept until you delete them. Retention is stated in full here.

What do I need to run it?

An iPhone on iOS 17 or later, and an Apple ID to sign in.

One sentence is the whole way in.

Describe something that happens. Luxim does the rest.
